Miss America is a culturally specific brand that transcends being just a beauty pageant. The Miss America Organization is the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. As a preliminary to the Miss America program, Miss San Diego and San Diego's Outstanding Teen titleholders share a critical role in working to advance their platform and promote scholarships and community service for women.
