San Diego's Outstanding Teen Pageant
General Eligibility Requirements
To compete in the San Diego's Outstanding Teen Pageant, contestants must fulfill each of the following general eligibility requirements:
1) Must be a current resident of, or currently employed within, San Diego County and have been for six (6) months prior to the
first San Diego's Outstanding Teen Pageant rehearsal of the pageant year,
OR, must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (12 units) in a middle school, high school, community college or
four-year university located within San Diego County and have completed one full-time semester or quarter
in a middle school, high school, community college, or four-year university located within San Diego County,
prior to the first San Diego's Outstanding Teen Pageant rehearsal of the pageant year.
2) Must be born female, never married, and never have had children.
3) Must be at least age 13 by the date of the San Diego's Outstanding Teen Pageant.
4) Must be no older than age 17 by the date of the San Diego's Outstanding Teen Pageant.
5) Must NOT be age 18 by the date of the California's Outstanding Teen Pageant and Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant (August 30th).
6) Must NOT be higher than a high school junior at any point during the current pageant year.
7) Must NOT be eligible to compete on the Miss level in the Miss America Program at any point during the current pageant year. (For example, if a contestant turns 17 years of age on the last day that a local Miss pageant is being held in her state, and will be graduating in the Spring...and she chooses to not compete or is unable to compete in that competition for any reason other than eligibility, then she is still "eligible" to compete on the Miss level and is therefore ineligible to compete in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Program).
8) Must be a U.S. Citizen by the first San Diego's Outstanding Teen Pageant rehearsal of the pageant year.
